As part of an ongoing effort to promote Integrity Management, Kowloon East (KE) Region has initiated an "Integrity Ambassador Programme" to develop an ethical culture and a corruption-free workplace within the Region.

In the programme, District Commanders and Wing Heads have selected inspectorate officers to lead a group of Junior Police Officers of exemplary calibre and character to form an "Integrity Ambassador Team" in their Districts and Wings.

The team has been given the mission of helping the Formation Integrity Committee (FIC) promote Integrity Management by organising promotional activities, providing feedback on issues relating to Force values, and, most importantly, exerting positive peer influence within Districts and Formations.

To mark the launch of the programme and to equip the Integrity Ambassadors with sufficient knowledge of Force Strategy for Integrity Management, Internal Investigations Office (Kowloon) Chief Inspector Yau Kin-hung conducted an Integrity Management seminar at KE Regional Headquarters on October 8. Following the seminar was an appointment ceremony and a tea reception, attended by many District Commanders and Wing Heads.

Presenting certificates of appointment to the Integrity Ambassadors, KE Regional Commander Suen Kwai-leung said: "This meaningful programme will help the Region promote integrity at all levels and provide frontline officers with an opportunity to take part in activities promoting integrity, enabling FICs to get feedback on implementation of policies and initiatives."

"For building a sustainable ethical culture, contribution and involvement from all levels are of paramount importance for maintaining a high standard of integrity management in the Region," Mr Suen added.
