The friendship and working relationship among Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao were further strengthened at the tripartite Police and Security Forces Sports Exchange held in Macao from October 20 to 22.

There were soccer, shooting, swimming, tennis and basketball competitions; the Force athletes won the tennis championship, while Macao captured the overall championship after a tie-break victory.

While athletes were engaged in their sports, senior officials from the three law enforcement agencies also played friendly matches. Deputy Commissioner (Operations) Yam Tat-wing played a table tennis mixed-double with senior officials from Guangdong, Macao, and the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government. Other senior officials from the Force, led by Commissioner Tang King-shing, teamed up with their counterparts from Guangdong in a friendly football match with Macao counterparts.
