Expert conducts sharing session for PNC members

At the invitation by the Police Negotiation Cadre (PNC), Counter Terrorism-expert, Associate Professor Adam Dolnik, shared his considerable knowledge and research of recent terrorist hostage crises, at a three-day sharing session held at Police Headquarters from October 20 to 22. Prof Dolnik's presentations drew a large attendance by both the PNC and Management Development Programme members.

Prof Dolnik is the Director of Research Programmes at the Centre for Transnational Crime Prevention at the University of Wollongong in Australia. He has also lectured for various governmental and non-governmental organisations and agencies in over 30 countries, and has also conducted field research on terrorist networks in conflict zones.

At the sharing session, which featured the theme of "Taking Negotiations to a Higher Level to Combat Global Terrorism", Prof Dolnik shared his knowledge and expertise, particularly in relation to the Moscow Theatre and Beslan School hostage crises.
