Mrs Veronica Clibborn-Dyer, wife of the late Chief Superintendent Ronald Clibborn-Dyer, together with their children, Clifford, Michael and Angela, has thanked Force members for all their kind words, thoughts and support, following the passing of her husband. In a note to the Force, Mrs Clibborn-Dyer said: "We would like to express special thanks to the Commissioner of Police, Mr Tang King-shing, for sharing some of his kind thoughts and time with us; to the Police Welfare Office, especially Chief Superintendent Evelyn Lam, Alex Wong and Reverend Joshua Chan, for their caring support and guidance during our most difficult time, and to the Police Officers' Club for hosting Ron's Memorial Gathering. "Ron retired from the Force in 1996 after 31 years' service and even after 14 years of retirement, the camaraderie, help and support from the Hong Kong Police have been overwhelming and most appreciated."
