PLO WCIP joins Singapore visit
Woman Chief Inspector (WCIP) Tracey Lee of the Police Licensing Office (PLO) joined a delegation from the Security Guarding Services Industry Authority and Security Services Training Board on a three-day visit to Singapore earlier this year. During the visit, WCIP Lee shared her experience of processing Security Personnel Permits.
The delegation visited the Security Industry Regulatory Department of the Singapore Police (the Singapore equivalent of the PLO), the National Trade Union Congress and one of the five Auxiliary Police Units, which are security companies authorised to operate with armed security personnel.
Both the delegation and Singapore shared their success stories and experiences of building a reliable security and guarding industry with strong networking, tripartite co-operation and vision as well as a good safety culture. Both sides considered such exchanges valuable and should be continued to facilitate more experience sharing in future.
