In September last year, officers of SSPODIST Task Force Sub-unit arrested two suspects for pickpocket cases at the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) Off-course Betting Centres in Yu Chau Street and Tai Po Road. The suspects were eventually jailed for 18 months.

As a token of its gratitude to the officers, the Security and Integrity Department of the HKJC presented a silver plate and a banner to SSPODIST.

In the second case, a set of floodlight at a creative arts centre in Pak Tin Street was found to have been maliciously damaged in November last year. Officers of Patrol Sub-unit 4 later apprehended a suspect and charged him with criminal damage.

In recognition of the officers' outstanding performance in the case, the Estate Office of the Hong Kong Baptist University presented a banner to SSPODIST.
