To assist frontline officers and enhance their professionalism in handling criminal or non-criminal cases involving families, the Child Protection Policy Unit (CPPU) has introduced a "Family Harmony Project" by providing training packages for officers. The project consists of the following training packages: * Child Abuse - "Handling of Child Abuse Investigations and Special Provisions for Child Witnesses". * Domestic Violence - "Changes Brought About by the Domestic and Cohabitation Relationships Violence Ordinance". * Juvenile Crime - "Internet and Risk for Juvenile". * Elder Abuse - "Handling of Elder Abuse Cases". The packages were rolled out in phases between November 24 last year and March 11 this year. The PowerPoint presentations and video clips of the packages have been uploaded onto the Learning Portal in Knowledge Management. For enquiries about the project, contact CPPU Senior Inspector Chow Kwok-kee at 2860-2578. |
