Obituary
Commissioner Tang King-shing has noted with deep regret the passing of former Commandant of the Auxiliary Police Force, Mr Archibald John Chan Tai-wing, MBE, QPM, CPM, Honorary SACP(Aux.) on May 31, 2010.
Mr Chan, who joined the then Hong Kong Police Reserve in 1953 as a police constable, was the third Chinese to head the Auxiliary Police Force as Commandant between 1987 and 1996 when he retired.
Both serving and retired members of the Auxiliary Police Force and the Regular Force remember Mr Chan with deep affection.
