Force marksmen go through their paces

Over 150 regular and auxiliary police shooters participated in the Force Annual Shooting Competition at the indoor shooting range at Police Headquarters (PHQ) on May 15.

The climax of the day was the Fung Siu Yuen Cup Promotion Relay. Commissioner Tang King-shing and former Deputy Commissioner Fung Siu-yuen were present to cheer on the shooting teams from nine Major Formations as they battled for the trophy.

At the prize presentation ceremony, Mr Tang presented trophies to Emergency Unit Hong Kong Island for winning the Uniform Branch Team event; Criminal Intelligence Bureau, for Crime Team event; Police College for retaining the titles of both Revolver and Pistol classes in the Open Category, and to Sau Mau Ping District (Auxiliary) for Auxiliary Team event. 

Finally, Mr Fung presented the Fung Siu Yuen Cup to Police College, which won the cup for the fourth time in a row.

At the end of the event, Police Shooting Club Chairman, Mr Fan Sik-ming, thanked volunteer workers from his club and other units for lending a helping hand to the annual contest.
