I write to express my heartfelt gratitude to the team members of your Regional Missing Persons Unit, Kowloon East, for their contribution in locating the missing student of our school. They are:

A Form I student of our school was reported missing in April, 2010. Soon after your team took up the case in early July, the student was found and returned home in mid August, 2010. The efficiency and effective investigations and actions taken by your team once again prove that we, as educators and parents, can highly rely on the police force to solve the increasing juvenile problems. I believe you must be proud of having such a professional team working with you.

I wish to congratulate your police officers in Kwun Tong for their prompt action in arresting a suspected thief.

I am the foreman of a building site carrying out maintenance works. Your team of police officers, after receiving a report from a neighbour regarding a suspect stealing electrical materials from our storage boxes, arrived quickly and arrested the suspect.

The site has been in operation for several months and has been a hot spot for theft of equipment and scrap metals, even from the start of the site operation. However the subcontractors owning the equipment seldom reported the theft to the police.

After the suspect was promptly arrested, so far we haven’t seen new faces coming into the building site. May I congratulate the following police officers for their dedication to duties and protection of property?

The officers are Woman Sergeant Wong Shuk-yi, Sergeant Leung Kwong-man, Woman Police Constable Yu Siu-hung and Police Constables Fan Siu-to, Liu Chun-ho and Leung Lai-lam.

We wish them every success in their career in the future.
