Seminar on life wisdom
To mark the World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10, the Psychological Services Group (PSG) held a Balance and Wisdom Seminar on the day before to raise Force members’ awareness of this international topic.
Hong Kong Island Regional Commander, Dr Cheuk Chun-yin, attended the seminar as an officiating guest, along with more than 140 Force members.
At the invitation of the PSG, Hong Kong University Vice-chancellor, Prof Lee Chack-fun, addressed the seminar audience as a guest speaker. He showed he is an excellent storyteller as he tried to inspire the audience with stories of the wisdom of life.
Prof Lee pointed out that one of the best ways to cope with adversity was to see things from different perspectives. He reminded the audience to adjust their mindset to control emotions, instead of letting circumstances dictate their emotions.
