Force swimmers in good shape

Force swimmers pulled off a total of 18 gold, 12 silver and five bronze medals in the Master Swimming Competition organised by the Hong Kong Amateur Swimming Association at Kowloon Park Swimming Pool on September 12.

Being one of the top local competitions, the Master Swimming Competition attracted over 200 swimmers from 18 swimming clubs. In preparation for the Force Swimming Gala 2010 next month, the Police Swimming Club fielded 15 male and four female swimmers for 16 events as a test on their summer training for the gala.

Woman Police Constable Ma Hoi-ying captured a total of five gold medals in all of her events, while Assistant Training Manager Chan Lok-yan from Police College also took home four gold in all of his events.

Force swimmers also came up with impressive performances in relay events, capturing many gold medals.

Police Swimming Club Chairman, Assistant Commissioner Wong Fook-chuen, is delighted with the results, and is looking forward to seeing new records set in the upcoming Swimming Gala.
