At the invitation of Complaints and Internal Investigations Branch (C&IIB), Mrs Lillian Chan, Principal Corruption Prevention Officer of the Independent Commission Against Corruption, and her staff from the Corruption Prevention Department gave presentations at Police Headquarters on November 17 on their studies on "Liquor Licensing" and "Inventory Control of IT Equipment".

The presentations highlighted the need to avoid "conflict of interest" and the ability to hold accountability for action or inaction under a "Sunshine Test". Also covered were procedural matters related to liquor licensing and enforcement actions, inventory control of IT equipment and its associated administrative procedures.

The seminar attracted over 100 officers and civilian staff. The superintendents responsible for policy matters were present at the question-and-answer session to answer enquiries, resulting in a candid exchange of views and experiences.

The PowerPoint of the presentations will be uploaded onto the Ethics Corner on POINT.

The seminar offers an opportunity for sharing views and experiences
