We reported an elderly relative missing his connecting flight from Hong Kong to Manila yesterday. He was already missing for at least five hours. It was his first time to go through Hong Kong and he is on medication. We were very worried since there was no way to contact him and he did not have a way to contact us. We called the Airport police (Mr Lam) in the early morning, around 8:00 am HK time. They immediately started looking for him at the airport and when he could not be found, they extended their search outside the terminal where he was found around 10:00 am at AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE).

We have helped with providing a photo, descriptions, etc., which Mr Chan efficiently and effectively sent to the police in the field. He also effectively coordinated with Cathay Pacific officials who were helping to find him. His ability to speak good English, personal communication skills, and good Internet skills made access to recent photos helped finding our lost relative. All throughout, his supervisor was with him and acting very quickly to information they were receiving from myself personally and through emails being sent by relatives from the US and the Philippines that collectively helped in locating him.

I also highly appreciate PC 54083 and PC 34394 for finding him at AWE, which was quite away from the terminal. When I spoke with PC 54083, he said he recognised our relative from the photo and description provided them. I was very impressed and thankful by his and his partner's ability in quickly identifying him. We are very mindful that a few people have gone missing in Hong Kong and were never found, or when found, it was too late. Again, our sincere appreciation to the HK Airport Police. May you continue to have successful cases like ours.
