More than 20 members of the Central and Western District Council and the Council's District Fight Crime Committee recently visited Central Police District Headquarters, led by Council Chairman, Mr Chan Tak-chor, and Fight Crime Committee Chairman, Mr Lam Chek-yau.

This was the first visit to the new Headquarters complex by Central District's strategic partners after the amalgamation of Central Division and Waterfront Division to form a "Single Division District". Joining the visit was Central and Western District Officer, Ms Winnie Ho.

Welcoming the guests, Central District Commander Peter Morgan re-iterated that his District is committed to maintaining communication and liaison with the various councils and organisations in Central and Western District so as to provide more quality services. He hoped he would benefit from their views and suggestions on improvement of services.

During the visit, Assistant District Commander (Operations) Terrance Young and unit heads introduced the New Generation Report Room, day-to-day operations and facilities. They also outlined the policies and work carried out after the amalgamation to handle matters of concern to District Councils. Finally, Deputy District Commander Law Cheuk-hung wrapped up the briefing for the guests.
