The Force Library website has been revamped with many new features to provide better support for lifelong learning as well as adequate tools and resources for police studies. New sections like "New Books" and "About the Author" have been added to give a quick glimpse of the new purchases and provide relevant information. Interaction has been enhanced by allowing officers to share their reading experiences at "Book Reviews". A library tour and useful tips are also offered to make the website even more intuitive and user-friendly. Elaborating on the website revamp, Force Library Manager Annick Wong said: "We have acquired even more electronic resources as an essential means to support police research. Currently the Library has a total of six e-databases covering newspaper articles and journal titles of a wide range of subjects, such as applied policing, management, criminology, training, human rights, law, policy and social issues." She added: "We have recently acquired new databases, including the Military and Government database and the Security and Counter-Terrorism database. The former offers news pertaining to various branches of the military and Government whereas the latter provides information on issues related to security and terrorism." Officers are invited to view the enhanced webpage at POINT > Force Library. Feedback and comments on the changes or suggestions for further improvements are welcome. For enquiries, call 2860-2269 or visit the Force Library. Acting Superintendent Tony Lam of Research Centre, Police College, announced: "The Force Library will conduct a road-show at all Regions, Police Officers' Club and Police Sports and Recreation Centre to introduce our services and databases. Two presentation sessions at 10 am and 3 pm will demonstrate our library online catalogue and e-databases." Schedule of the road show
