Central District (CDIST) Commander Peter Morgan presented on December 3 letters of appreciation to the first term Central District Integrity Ambassadors for their contributions in the past year. At the same time, he also presented appointment certificates to the second term Integrity Ambassadors.

During the presentation ceremony, winners of the Central District Integrity Slogan Design Competition were presented with awards. Central District Fight Crime Committee Chairman, Mr Lam Chek-yau; Vice-chairman, Mr Ng Siu-keung; and ICAC Hong Kong West/Islands Regional Officer (Ag), Ms Mui Yee-yu, were on hand to show their support for what the Integrity Ambassadors have done to promote integrity among their colleagues.

The Central District Integrity Ambassador Programme was launched in 2009 with the aims of putting the Force strategy for integrity management into effect and strengthening Force Values so as to meet the community's expectations of the Force.

Holding office for one year, the Integrity Ambassadors promote integrity and Force Values by organising various activities and offering their views on maintaining a high standard of integrity management to the Force management. Over the past year, the outgoing Integrity Ambassadors set up an Integrity Management Learning Corner and held various activities, including Integrity Cup Soccer Match and Integrity Slogan Design Competition.

The Integrity Slogan Design Competition attracted a total of 50 entries. Sergeant (SGT) Lam Siu-ming (Licensing) CDIST was selected winner, while the second and third places went to Police Constable (PC) Ting Ho-yin of Patrol Sub-unit (PSU) 3 CDIST and PC Ng Tak-wai of the same sub-unit respectively.

The merit certificate winners are PC Lee Ka-ho of Public Order Events Sub-unit CDIST, PC Lai Ka-shing of PSU 3 CDIST, SGT Lee Ming-wah of PSU 4 Peak Sub-division, and WPC(A) Pang Men-him of PSU 3 CDIST(A).
