Police Swimming Gala sets more records

The Police Annual Swimming Gala 2010 came to a successful conclusion at the Shing Mun Valley Swimming Complex on November 20, setting two new Force records. Acting Commissioner Tsang Wai-hung was on hand to cheer on officers as they competed in 52 events.

As in the previous years, the "Directorate Relay" continued to be the most anticipated event. Following breath-taking competitions, Assistant Commissioner (ACP) Lo Wai-chung and Chief Superintendent (CSP) Sham Wai-kin bagged the gold medal, while ACP Suen Kwai-leung and CSP Lam Man-wing and CSPs Yu Mun-sang and Cheung Tak-keung clinched the second and third places respectively.

As to the glory of the Formation Overall Champion, Police Tactical Unit Headquarters outshone other Formations and lifted the trophy for the Men Formation Overall Champion, while Police College captured the Women Formation Overall Championship. Police College also won the title of the Best Participating Formation in the competition.

In individual events, Inspector Li Kar-wai was the Man Individual Overall Champion and Woman Police Constable Ma Hoi-ying clinched the Woman Individual Overall Championship.

At the invitation of the Police Swimming Club, the Macau Police also took part in the Inter-Departmental Relay.

Police College is the Women Formation Overall Champion
