Police bowlers have bumper year |

It has been a bumper year for the Hong Kong Police Lawn Bowl Club in 2010. First, police bowlers taking part in the Second Disciplinary Lawn Bowl Competition successfully defended their champion title at Ap Lei Chau Indoor Green on November 29, beating Correctional Service Department bowlers by three points with a total score of 54 against 51. "The sport is very interesting and requires a high level of skills," said Mr Sin Yat-kin, Commissioner of Correctional Services, who was a guest of honour along with Assistant Commissioner (Operations) Wong Chi-hung. Mr Sin also praised all bowlers for their sportsmanship and support for the competition. Police bowlers also took the league title in Division One in the Hong Kong Men Premier League Competition 2010. "It has been six years since we last won the title in 2004 and it is the result of team spirit, good efforts and determination", said Mr Andy Chan, convener of the Police Lawn Bowl Club.
