Tripartite woman police officers study POE policing |
||
At the 10th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Woman Police Officers Meeting held in Hong Kong from January 5 to 7, 39 officers from the three places looked into their roles in policing public order events (POE). Marine Regional Commander Chang Mo-see led the Hong Kong delegation, while the delegations from Guangdong and Macau were headed by Luo Juan, Deputy Director-General of Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department, and Kok Fong-mei, Deputy Director of Macau Public Security Forces Affairs Bureau respectively. The tight schedule of the three-day meeting included a visit to Police Tactical Unit Headquarters to observe a demonstration on handling POE and riots, and a forum discussion on woman police officers' roles in POE. The delegations were welcome by outgoing Commissioner Tang King-shing, Deputy Commissioner (Management) Lee Ka-chiu and former Director of Crime and Security Tang Kam-moon (Now Deputy Commissioner (OPS)). This annual exchange meeting provided an effective platform for the participants to keep abreast of the latest policing developments, discuss issues of common concern, and enhance the liaison and co-operation among tripartite woman police officers.
