Last December, five Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB) officers shared their experiences of investigating commercial crimes with 30-odd officers from different units, including Regional Anti-triad Unit, Regional Crime Unit, Emergency Unit, Task Force Sub-unit and Patrol Sub-unit.

Senior Inspector (SIP) Brian Tang started the sharing session with case learning by introducing a topical fraud and invoice financing scam. Then, one of the Peer Advisers on fraud investigation, SIP Myron Ng, outlined the Knowledge café process.

With the CCB officers' assistance, participants were divided into four groups to discuss the challenges a divisional investigation team might encounter in taking up a commercial crime case, and to find out the ways to crack the case.

Important points of the discussion by each group were recorded to help the participants reach a consensus for solving the case. Finally, Superintendent Francis Ho shared his work experience.
