Lot of fun in NTS Fun Run
A total of 174 runners from various Formations of New Territories South (NTS) Region took part in the NTS Fun Run 2011 on January 22 to vie for awards for various age and rank groups.
The runners ran along a 6.5-km route covering the hilly section round the scenic Shing Mun Reservoir. Eventually, Police Constable Yiu Tsz-kin from Airport Security Unit came up with a lightning speed and won the race, setting a new record of 23'28". In the ladies' group, Woman Police Constable Chan Yeuk-lam from Emergency Unit captured the title again with a record of 30'20".
In the group for civilian officers, Chan Shun-bor, a cook from Lantau District, clinched the title at 25'47". In the group for superintendent and above ranks, Assistant District Commander (Administration) Tsuen Wan District Ng Ho-fung took the first place. In the contest among Formations, Tsuen Wan District retained the title of Formation Champion, while Airport District ranked as Champion of Minor Formation.
The race concluded with Regional Commander Tse Shu-chun thanking the Auxiliary Medical Service, the organising committee and all the participants for their contributions to the event.
