The Police Licensing Office (PLO) held the annual Police Licensing Seminar on March 17 for about 150 officers from formations to discuss the latest licensing-related matters.

At the seminar, PLO representatives gave presentations on the Force's latest policies on licensing and the considerations that were taken into account when processing applications for various licences, such as Lion Dance Permit and Security Personnel Permit. Guest speakers from the Television and Entertainment Licensing Authority also discussed the Amusement with Prizes Licence with the audience.

The seminar served as a platform for officers performing licensing-related duties to share experience and knowledge with their colleagues and offered them a chance to express their views on enforcement to the PLO. The audience also took the opportunity to talk about their experience of carrying out licence checks and enforcement action in upstairs bars that are becoming more popular in Hong Kong.

Information on the seminar is available on the PLO's homepage on POINT.
