A team of 15 male and one female Police Swimmers, led by Inspector Lau Ko-chun, won a total of 20 medals in seven individual and two relay events in the Masters Swimming Championship on March 20. The medal tally comprises five gold, seven silver and eight bronze. Amongst the swimmers is retired Sergeant Chan Kwok-hung, a staunch supporter of the Police Swimming Club. Approaching 10 years of retirement, Mr Chan has been taking part in open competitions for another swimming club. Two years ago, when he learned that the Police Swimming Club would participate in the Masters swimming competitions, he immediately joined the Police team. In the Masters Swimming Championship, he and Police Constable Sezto Wing-bun, a fresh graduate from Police College, both clinched a gold medal. For Mr Chan, swimming not only benefits health, but also gives him opportunities to meet old friends in the pool. Therefore, he strongly supports the Police Swimming Club in promoting a healthy lifestyle among serving and retired officers. Winter
