NB promotes Integrity Management |

Led by Narcotics Bureau (NB) Chief Superintendent John Ribeiro, an NB football team had a friendly match at the Police Sports and Recreation Club on March 19 with a team from Customs and Excise Department’s Drug Investigation Bureau (DIB), led by Bureau Head John Lee. The two teams competed for the first time for the cup donated by Mr Ribeiro. As one of the initiatives in the four-pronged approach for the Force Strategy for Integrity Management (FSIM), NB officers have all along promoted a culture and lifestyle focusing on physical health, mental health and financial prudence. Over 60 officers from NB and DIB took part in the match, which tied at 1-1 at half time. In the second half, DIB led by 2-1 a few minutes before closing, but NB players managed to equalise at 2-2 just seconds before the final whistle. To decide who are the champions, the game went into penalties. With a bit of luck and their goalkeeper’s super performance, NB won the game by 5-4 on penalty kicks and received the Ribeiro’s Cup for the first time from Mr Lee. All the players and their family members later moved to a barbeque site to enjoy barbeque food and share experiences of combating drugs. NB
