YTDIST promotes energy-saving
With funding by the Police Staff Motivation Scheme administered by Service Quality Wing, Yau Tsim District (YTDIST) last year ran a three-month Energy-saving Competition.
The competition ended in January this year, with Patrol Sub-unit (PSU) 3 of Tsim Sha Tsui Division (TSTDIV) and PSU 1 of Yau Ma Tei Division winning the competition in their divisions and receiving awards from District Executive Officer Tsang Yan-yan.
Commenting on the competition, Commander of PSU 3, Inspector Ho Yan-kit, said: "We're honoured to win the competition. My team members came up with ideas for the competition after a brainstorming session. With the information provided on the Environmental Protection Department website, we advised our colleagues to remain more environmentally friendly during the course of their work. We would like to thank all officers in TSTDIV for their support. The competition has driven home the message on energy-saving and hopefully everyone would make environmental protection part of their lives."
