Visa International has presented the "Law Enforcement Award 2011" to Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB) in appreciation of CCB officers' dedication to and efforts in combatting payment card fraud, resulting in the arrest of 42 suspects and seizure of 1 561 counterfeit payment cards between 2010 and 2011. This is the third consecutive year CCB has won the award.

Chief Inspector (CIP) Rod Diaz and Senior Inspector So Ka-kit of CCB attended the "Visa International Security Summit 2011" in Jakarta, Indonesia, from May 24 to 25. Also present at the conference were around 400 representatives from the payment card and banking industries and law enforcement officers from Asia Pacific, Central Europe, Middle East and Africa.

The summit provided a platform for the delegates to get updated on the latest trends of security and risk management and fraud victimising the payment card industry. It also afforded the delegates an excellent opportunity to share experience and good practices with other overseas law enforcement agencies and reinforce international collaboration in fighting transnational and organised crimes.

During the summit, Head of Risk of Visa International, Ms Ellen Richey, presented the "Law Enforcement Award 2011" to CIP Diaz for CCB's professionalism in and contribution to combatting counterfeit payment card activities last year.
