To help its members achieve a balanced work life, the Force has been promoting a culture of healthy lifestyle with financial prudence as an important component. The various promotional initiatives launched within the Force have made officers more aware of the importance of personal financial prudence.

To further drive home financial prudence to Force members and their family members, the Staff Relations Group of Personnel Services and Staff Relations Branch (PS&SR) has organised a poster design and creative slogan competition with "Prudent Family and Personal Financial Management" as the theme.

The competitions took place between September 28 and November 20 last year, attracting a total of 210 slogans and 43 posters from both disciplined and civilian officers and their families. All entries have a high standard and demonstrate the creativity and artistic talents of their authors, whereby conveying a significant message on the importance of family and personal financial prudence to Force members.

Selection of the winners and runners-up was held on January 13 this year under the chairmanship of Chief Superintendent (PS&SR) who headed a panel comprising all members of the Working Group on the Prevention and Management of Police Indebtedness (WGPMPI).

Besides presenting book coupons and certificates to winners of the Open Category at the Police Staff Suggestions and Motivation Schemes Award Presentation Ceremony jointly held by Service Quality Wing, Personnel Wing and Information Systems Wing on March 8, Assistant Commissioner (Personnel) Chau Kwok-leung also handed out prizes to winners of the Children Category at the PHM Carnival on May 22.
