CCB SIP takes fourth squash title
Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB) Senior Inspector (SIP) Hui Hong-kit emerged as the overall champion at the 2011 Police Squash - Closed Championships on May 19, after beating Police Constable (PC) (Auxiliary) Ho Chu-him from Waterfront Division in the Open Final with a 3-1 win to take his squash championship title for the fourth consecutive year.
In the Chairman's Cup event, PC Li Kin-wah from Western District took the title by edging out Clerical Officer Chan Po-sing from Railway District with a 3-1 win.
This year, the ladies event made a comeback after years of suspension. In this event, Woman Station Sergeant Yuen Suk-ting from Kwun Tong Division took the title after beating Woman Senior Inspector Cheng Mei-lin in four exhaustive games.
To promote healthy lifestyle and participation in sports among Force members, the squash club will run a coaching course for beginners every Tuesday evening at PSRC, starting in the middle of next month. Those interested may contact William Siu at williamsiucm@yahoo.com.hk.
