Sir Shiu Kin remembered
The annual Display of the Mace Ceremony was held at the Police College on June 13 in memory of the late Sir Shiu Kin Tang.
Officiating at the ceremony, Commissioner Tsang Wai-hung reminisced about the philanthropist's contributions to police staff welfare, and thanked his family for their continuous support for the Force. Sir Shiu Kin's widow, Lady May, son, Richard, and daughter, Yvonne, were present at the ceremony.
Donated by Sir Shiu Kin's family as a symbol of his close relationship with the Force, the silver mace is used by the Police Pipe Band at all major official functions.
