Sham Shui Po Station
Dear Sirs, My son was charged on 30 March 2011 for loitering with intent to commit an arrestable offence. Today the court approved that the case be disposed by way of a Bind Over Order. I am very grateful that my son is given an opportunity to understand the consequences of his behaviour and make amends. He is currently on an antidepressant medication prescribed by a psychiatric doctor. His condition is improving. He has assured all of us that he will not get involved in any similar incident in the future. I write to commend the Shamshuipo Police Station CID Team 6 which has been in charge of my son's case. I confess that I was totally frantic, confused, and very scared at the beginning. I called the team quite a few times. Sergeant Siu was patient to explain to me every detail about the charge. A lady officer actually spent almost a quarter to half of an hour trying to comfort me over the phone, and so did a Mr Wong from the same team and a young man who helped me get back my son's calculator. My son has caused a lot of trouble and yet we are treated with dignity and immense understanding. I am forever grateful to Sergeant Siu and his CID Team 6. Ms So
(Editor's Note: The officers praised in this letter are Sgt Siu Ka-keung, WPC Wong Yin and PC Wong Ching-hung)
