Marine Region, Shenzhen mount joint exercise
The 26th Summer Universiade will be held in Shenzhen from August 12 to 23. In the run up to this international sports meet, the Force and Shenzhen will conduct a series of operations and joint exercises to ensure the event will be held in a safe and secure environment.
On July 7, Marine Region and Shenzhen Border Defence Sub-Bureau carried out a joint exercise along the Boundary of Administration in Deep Bay to enhance the security coverage along the sea boundary. Commanding the joint exercise, which involved patrol vessels from Marine West Division, Small Boat Division and Shenzhen Border Defence Sub-Bureau, were Marine West Divisional Commander Ling Wai-po and Head of the Sub-Bureau, Mr Tsang Yung.
The joint exercise was conducted in the forms of patrols along the Boundary of Administration in Deep Bay by flotillas from both sides and various formation drills. The exercise was very successful, demonstrating the professionalism of the officers taking part and the effective communication between the Force and Shenzhen Border Defence Sub-Bureau in dealing with urgent boundary incidents.
