WTSDIST runs 'Healthy Campaign' for teens |

Wong Tai Sin District (WTSDIST) and Wong Tai Sin District Fight Crime Committee jointly staged a "Wong Tai Sin Healthy Campaign for Smart Teens" variety show at Lok Fu Plaza on July 9 with sponsorship by Wong Tai Sin Junior Police Call (JPC) Honorary President Council, Wong Tai Sin District Council and Hong Kong Wong Tai Sin Industry and Commerce Association. WTSDIST is dedicated to protecting teenagers from drugs with education and various activities, and has achieved encouraging results in this respect. The variety show was another initiative of WTSDIST to encourage and motivate residents and teenagers in the district to build up harmonious families, cultivate healthy lifestyles, stay away from drugs and build up self-confidence and self-esteem. Officiating at the variety show were Chairman of Wong Tai Sin JPC Honorary President Council, Mr Hui Leung-wah; Wong Tai Sin Assistant District Officer, Mr Chik Yu-fai; Vice-chairman of Wong Tai Sin District Council, Mr Wong Kam-chi; Chairman of Wong Tai Sin District Fight Crime Committee, Mr Yeung Chee-tat, WTS District Commander David Gunton, Deputy District Commander Ng Wing-yin, Assistant District Commander (Crime) Kwok Lai-han, as well as presidents of Wong Tai Sin JPC Honorary President Council. The variety show featured performances by primary and secondary school students in the district, including hand bells, Chinese dance, and band performances. The highlight of the show was lion dance by Non-ethnic Chinese students. Prize-winning entries to painting, poster design and photography competitions open to kindergarten, primary and secondary students and the public on harmonious family, combating drugs and healthy lifestyle were on display at the venue.
