The trio officiated at the camp's launching ceremony and called on youngsters to help Police combat crime and promote anti-drug messages. They also toured around the camp, watching JPC members participating in various activities, including a Roman ballistics system, demonstration of making tea with milk and painting. Noting the decrease in the number of young people arrested for serious drug offences in the first six months of this year, Mr Lee stressed at the ceremony that concerted efforts to fight drug abuse had to be further strengthened. It is important to drive home anti-drug messages to young people through publicity and preventive education, he said. (More photos can be found in Photo Features) |
