In a bid to ramp up liaison and communication with social welfare organisations, Kwun Tong District (KTDIST) Commander Chau Cho-kei and Kwun Tong Divisional Commander Wong Kwong-hing have paid a visit to Christian Family Service Centre. The centre is one of the major social welfare organisations in Kwun Tong, providing integrated services to youths, elderly and families.

Being an old town, Kwun Tong has a large population of elderly people. The two commanders visited a local centre for the elderly and talked with the elderly service director of the centre to understand the daily life and problems of the elderly people in the area. Superintendent Wong also had a discussion with the integrated family support service director on youth and family support service and handling of crises in the centre.

On the day of the visit, the two commanders also attended the kick-off ceremony of "The fifth Elderly Fight Crime Ambassador Programme" jointly organised by Kwun Tong District Fight Crime Committee and KTDIST to encourage senior citizens to help disseminate anti-crime messages in Kwun Tong.
