TMDIST promotes 'My Green Statement'
Tuen Mun District (TMDIST) spares no efforts in implementing its "My Green Statement" initiative, and in supporting green policies.
To enhance officers' awareness of environmental protection and to promote resource efficiency, TMDIST has thrashed out a three-pronged green strategy comprising "Education and Publication", "Energy Saving and Reuse" and "Monitoring and Reviewing". As another green initiative, it has introduced a new measure - "My Green Statement" - to encourage officers to put their environmental protection ideas into practice and commit themselves to better using resources in their daily lives for achieving the mission: "To Protect the Environment, I Can Do It".
To mark the rollout of "My Green Statement", and to underline the significance of this event, Director of Finance, Administration and Planning Yeung Yiu-shing officiated at a kick-off ceremony at the invitation by TMDIST, alongside TMDIST Commander Lui Hon-kwok on August 3. All those who were present pledged to support environmental protection by signing the "My Green Statement" exhibition board.
