Mr Lee hoped youngsters would build up self-confidence and team spirit whilst participating in various camp activities. He also commended JPC for its consistent efforts to engage the community in combatting crime and instilling positive values among young people.

The annual summer camp, organised by Police Public Relations Branch with sponsorship and support from various organisations, aims at enhancing JPC members' awareness of crimes and drug abuse, and promoting healthy living. About 2 000 JPC members took part in this year's camp, which began on August 9 and concluded on August 12.

Anti-drug and fight crime messages were disseminated to the campers through a variety of activities, including seminars on drug abuse and Internet crime prevention, inter-district game competitions as well as land and water sports.
