CP boosts ties with staff associations |

Force
Management and the staff side are working towards the common goal of
striving for excellence in providing professional and quality service
to the community.
There are different established channels, formal or informal, for Force Management, including the Commissioner Tsang Wai-hung, to communicate with representatives of the four staff associations. Organising gatherings at the CP’s residence is one of the effective informal communication channels. On the evening of September 21, over 60 representatives from the four staff associations attended a reception hosted by the Commissioner at his residence. The representatives, in particular the JPOA committee members and unit representatives, representing the interests of frontline officers, were very pleased to have an opportunity to chat with the Commissioner and Senior Force Management face-to-face in a relaxing atmosphere. During the gathering, Mr Tsang again expressed his recognition of the professionalism and dedication of the frontline officers. The Commissioner also expressed appreciation for the hardship and difficulties faced by frontline officers in policing on their day-to-day duties. He noted the professionalism displayed by all these officers despite such adversities. He was proud of, and very pleased with, the continuous concerted efforts given by Force members, at all levels, in serving the community with pride and care. The four staff associations showed full support for Force Management and the Commissioner, and pledged that their members will continue to perform in a most dedicated and professional manner to uphold the rule of law and to maintain public order and safety in Hong Kong.
