Seminar on street gambling
The Research Unit of Criminal Intelligence Bureau held a seminar on street gambling for 150 frontline officers in the Auditorium at Police Headquarters recently.
The seminar covered four types of card games popular with the elderly at public places, namely "Hakka Card", "Fujian Four-colour Card", "Two-colour Chinese Chess Card" and "Dongguan Card". As these card games are played only by the older generation, frontline officers may not be familiar with the games. Therefore, the Research Unit organised the seminar, which featured a PowerPoint presentation and an experience-sharing session for those officers.
