Retiring
Regional Commander Kowloon East (RC KE) Suen Kwai-leung performed his
last Police Long Service Medal Presentation Ceremony on October 14 when
he presented medals and clasps to 107 serving and retired officers.
Among the officers, 19 were awarded Third Clasp; 13, Second Clasp; and six, First Clasp. Fifteen officers were awarded Long Service Medals for their contributions to the Force over the last 33, 30, 25 and 18 years. Mr Suen took the opportunity to present Commanding Officer's Commendation to a total of 34 officers in recognition of their outstanding performances. He appreciated the contributions of all the recipients to the community and the Force. Shortly before proceeding on pre-retirement leave, Mr Suen said it was really a "perfect finale" to his career in the Force as his first posting after passing out of the former Police Training School was Wong Tai Sin and his last posting after 30 odd years was KE Region. He had a profound sense of belonging for KE and encouraged all his officers to keep up their good work and make contributions to society. In return, all officers wished Mr Suen a happy retirement. Mr
