Officers receive honours and awards
At a ceremony at Government House on October 29, the Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, presented awards to 332 recipients, including 27 serving and retired members of the Force.
Heading the Force recipients was former Commissioner Tang King-shing who was presented with the Gold Bauhinia Star.
Two retiring Assistant Commissioners, Messrs Peter Hunt and Austin Kerrigan, were awarded Police Medal for Distinguished Service. Another retiring Assistant Commissioner Ng Ka-sing, who is abroad, has also been awarded Police Medal for Distinguished Service.
Twenty officers, including Assistant Commissioner (Security) Au Chi-kwong, were presented with Police Medal for Meritorious Service, two officers with Medal of Honour, and one officer with Chief Executive¡¦s Commendation for Community Service.
