"The 11th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Woman Police Officers' Meeting" was held in Shaoguan, Guangdong from November 16 to 18. Assistant Commissioner (Support) Winnie Chiu Wai-yin led a party of 10 officers at various ranks to attend the event and share their experience with delegates from the Guangdong Public Security Department and the Macao Security Force Management Services. The theme of the meeting was "The Working Experience of Female Junior Police Officers". The delegates shared the view that junior police officers are always in close contact with members of the public and face increasing challenges due to society's ever changing demands. As female police officers can be firm as well as compassionate, they are capable of handling most policing scenarios as well as, if not better than their male counterparts. In line with the theme, two female junior police officers were specially arranged to make presentations at the meeting, namely WPC Pinky Kei Hiu-yee and WDSPC Pandora Lui Sau-fong. The former is attached to Happy Valley Division with three years' experience in frontline uniform branch duties. The latter has been serving in the Force for 20 years and is attached to Tuen Mun Police District, mainly responsible for criminal investigations. They shared their work experiences and touching stories. At the meeting, delegates from the three jurisdictions discussed their roles, duties and work experience as frontline officers. They also expressed their personal feelings and knowledge of life, such as how to balance work and family responsibilities and how to manage work time and family time. This served to emphasise the importance of the human touch in both work and family matters. The Woman Tripartite Meeting provides a platform for sharing work experience and enhancing the friendship and partnership among the three jurisdictions. The
Tripartite Meeting has looked into many important roles for woman
