KCDIST supports grooming of JPO |

After nomination for the Development Programme for Junior Police Officers (JPO) with Potential started last month, the Kowloon City District (KCDIST) Management Team held seminars at District Headquarters on October 25 and November 1 to introduce the main features of the programme to the officers in KCDIST. A total of 47 officers turned up at the two seminars, showing a great interest in pursuing their personal developments. Speaking at the seminars, KCDIST Commander Alfred Wong pointed out that no successful organisation would “wait for leaders to come along”. Instead, it would actively seek out those with potential and offer them opportunities to develop their potential. After Mr Wong’s speech, Chief Inspector Emma Lam, introduced the main features of the development programme and how KCDIST would support mentees of the programme, and look for opportunities for career exposures and developments for them, including job attachment and secondment. She also advised the audience on how to devise their self-development plans. Kowloon City Deputy District Commander, Senior Superintendent Wong Chun-chin, concluded the seminars by reiterating that KCDIST fully supported the development programme by actively seeking out JPOs with potential, and helping them to make full use of the merits of the programme for their personal developments within KCDIST. KCDIST offers JPO every opportunity to achieve their full potential |
