Family Harmony Carnival
Joyful, hilarious
The Welfare Services Group of Personnel Services and Staff Relations Branch staged the Family Harmony Carnival 2011 at Police Sports and Recreation Club on December 4, promoting "Love your Family with Never Ending Joy" as a theme.
Through a host activities such as competitions, stall games and stage performances, the Welfare Services Group promoted the messages of harmonious family and caring culture to disciplined, civilian and auxiliary officers. To improve communication and co-operation among family members, the organiser also arranged different activities for families.
The activities driving home the message of harmonious family were "Stand Up, Parents & Children, Let's Exercise Together" staged by Maria Cordero and Singers from Asian Million Star Contest, Laughter Yoga, Latin Dance, folk songs and magic show; parent-child stall games, family games; on-site-video recording; family life video and photo-sharing; Police Dog Show; Bomb Disposal Vehicle and Armoured Vehicle Display; Robotcop and Super Ball Rolling.
Director of Management Services Tang How-kwong, Assistant Commissioner (Personnel) Chau Kwok-leung, Chief Superintendent (Human Resources) Ng Tsui Fung-ying and Chief Superintendent (Personnel Services & Staff Relations) So Kam-tong joined the participants as guests of honour.
Prize-winning entries to the Family Life Video and Photo Competitions were broadcast at the carnival as the winners received their prizes from Mr Chau, who also thanked Force members and their families for supporting the carnival and the two competitions. Echoing Mr Chau's thanks, Mr So said the carnival was a big success.
