To mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Force Escort Group (FEG), a thematic exhibition, "25 Years at the Front: A History of Police Escorts in Hong Kong (1986-2011)", opened in Police Museum on December 13.

Running until April 29, the exhibition is jointly presented by FEG and Police Museum, covering a wide range of topics and showcasing the most important history of FEG, including background of establishment, functions and duties, vehicles used, members highlights, selection and training of members and overseas liaison.

Over 50 pieces and sets of exhibit, along with fascinating historical images and videos, present visitors with a picture of the growth of FEG during the last quarter century. Exhibit highlights include two old police motorcycles, Honda CBX750 and BMW R850RT-P. The Honda motorcycle was used by the Force from 1994 to 1998 and it was donated by Mr Mok Vai-kin to the museum. Other interesting exhibits include FEG uniforms in different periods, archives, Commissioner's Commendations, standards and vehicle models. Some rare and valuable exhibits are on loan from serving and retired FEG members.
