DC Basketball Championship a hit with officers
Western District (WDIST) held its District Commander Basketball Championship in May, going a long way towards the promotion of healthy lifestyle and camaraderie among its officers.
Basketball is a popular sport among WDIST officers, and response to the championship was spontaneous, with units fielding a total of eight teams for elimination matches.
The final was held at the Disciplined Services Sports and Recreation Club on May 14, with District Commander Lam Hiu-tong and senior officers sharing the fun with a large party of supporters and cheering on the players. Eventually, the team formed by Patrol Sub-units (PSU) 3 and 4 grabbed the title, followed by the Aberdeen Division Headquarters team and the joint team of PSU1 and PSU2 as first and second runners-up respectively.
