Joint operation against pickpocketing, thefts
The Regional Crime Prevention Office of Hong Kong Island (RCPO HKI) joined hands with various districts of HKI Region in launching a large-scale publicity drive at shopping malls, markets and department stores on Hong Kong Island on June 14 to raise public awareness of safeguarding personal property and preventing pickpocketing and miscellaneous thefts.
Officers distributed leaflets and other publicity items carrying crime prevention messages in shopping areas and places with massive flows of pedestrians.
