NTN Health Check Day well received
The Welfare Services Group (WSG) of Personnel Services and Staff Relations (PS&SR) Branch is well aware that prevention is better than cure when it comes to health.
Therefore, WSG, in conjunction with the Hong Kong Society of Medical Professionals (HKSMP), staged a Health Check Day for officers of New Territories North (NTN) Region at the Regional Headquarters on June 16.
On the Health Check Day, the sixth organised by WSG, volunteers from HKSMP manned different health test counters, including those on cholesterol, glucose, lung function, glaucoma, and osteoporosis, while medical doctors offered free consultations. In appreciation of these services, NTN Regional Commander Chau Kwok-leung presented a souvenir to HKSMP President, Dr Bernard Kong.
About 200 officers turned up on the Health Check Day. Encouraged by the popularity of this event, PS&SR Branch will continue providing more services to promote "One Force One Caring Culture".
