Re: Commendation- Mr Mok Tsz Pan (PC8233)

This letter is to express my profound appreciation for the dignified and professional manner in which members of your department recently handled my enquiries, and to formally and publicly commend Mr Mok Tsz Pan for his help during my last visit to the Hong Kong International Airport on 25 March, 2012. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Mr Mok who attended and helped me through my recent experience to recover my lost passport at the airport.

I have never before written a letter like this on an entirely unsolicited basis. However, in this case I was so impressed by the support and service provided by Mr Mok that I felt compelled to go on the record with my praise in which Mr Mok truly deserves it.

In all manners Mr Mok was entirely professional, and with a very genuine care and concern for the needy. It is both comforting and reassuring to know that officers of such quality are doing their utmost to uphold the professional standard of the Hong Kong Police.

Last but not least, I believe Mr Mok is only a representation of a highly professional and helpful police force in which you are leading. At a time when the general public has been offering increasingly mixed and sometimes unjustly negative attitude towards the police and the civil servants, I can only offer my most sincere thanks. I wish these officers the best and hope that their performance could be better known by the public.

Mr Mok is an excellent ambassador for Hong Kong and the wider Civil Service. I commend him to you in the highest regard, and wish you and your department all the best.

A. Cheung
