Officer receives good care at OHC |

Officers from the Force Welfare Office and the Conditions of Service and Discipline Branch of Personnel Wing visited Senior Police Constable (SPC) Yiu Yiu-wing of Tsuen Wan District on June 1 when he received physiotherapy treatment at the Occupational Health Centre (OHC) in Queen Elizabeth Hospital after an accidental slip while on duty. During the visit, the officers met with the medical staff to know more about the medical care provided for civil servants injured while on duty. SPC Yiu has high regard for the standard of the medical treatment he was receiving, particularly that of a dedicated medical team. He also appreciates the convenient booking system, which allows him to receive different occupational and physiotherapy treatments. Two Occupational Health Centres, one at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kowloon and the other at Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital on Hong Kong Island, were established in 2011 to provide a range of medical services for government servants who sustain injuries or suffer from occupational diseases while on duty. The services include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, X-ray diagnostic treatment and simple wound management. In addition, both centres accept urgent bookings for treatment of bruises, abrasions and similar injuries. The OHC contact numbers and other relevant details are promulgated on the Force Noticeboard and available on the Personnel Wing website. ![]() |
